The Max Planck Schools bring together international PhD candidates with Germany’s leading scientists in four seminal interdisciplinary research fields: Biomedical Artificial Intelligence, Cognition, Matter to Life, or Photonics. Based on a strong network of German Universities and Research Organizations, the Max Planck Schools offer unique PhD programs with fully funded positions for Bachelor and Master graduates in an outstanding scientific environment. PhD candidates benefit from excellent infrastructure, innovative teaching methods and interdisciplinary exchange.

Supported by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and our other key partners, the Max Planck Schools aim to advance doctoral training in Germany.

Max Planck School of Biomedical Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming biomedical research, creating new opportunities to understand molecular and cellular systems, predict complex biological traits, explore neural networks, and design new molecules. Developing the algorithms needed to realize this potential lies at the heart of the curriculum and research training of the Max Planck School of Biomedical AI (BMAI).
